Physiotherapist
Marcel Wallace, MPT
Marcel moved to Canada in 2020 after obtaining his Masters in Physiotherapy from Brunel University in the UK in 2018. He combines his expertise in exercise prescription with his hands-on skills to work with patients to deliver effective, meaningful treatment. Communication is at the heart of Marcel’s practice, and he strives to meet his clients where they’re at and help them find the path for where they want to go.
Marcel enjoys working with clients from all walks of life and specialises in the treatment of low back pain and injuries of the hip, knee, and ankle. He has honed his knowledge of research and methods of treating ACL injuries and surgeries and has had great results helping clients back to sport and full health. As well as ACL injuries, Marcel commonly helps with rehab for osteoarthritis, fractures, surgeries and impingement. One of the tools that Marcel uses is blood flow restriction training. This has incredible benefits at retaining and increasing muscle mass and strength, especially when recovering from ACL surgeries or other knee/hip/ankle fractures.
Marcel also is also a lecturer at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy where he teaches orthopedic pathology.
When not at work, Marcel tries to stay in shape with his Olympic weightlifting and enjoys getting up the mountain for snowboarding or hitting the beach for some surfing, before winding down with a delicious hazy IPA.
