Kinesiologist
Rachel Donohoe, KIN
Rachel received her Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. During her studies, Rachel moved to Europe to play professional field hockey, and compete for a spot in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with the Women’s Canadian Field Hockey team.
Her passion for sports and affinity for the outdoors, mixed with her willingness to help others is the reason Rachel pursued an education and career in health and wellness.
Overseas, Rachel also worked as an active rehab intern and personal training specialist while playing field hockey. Coming from a sport that causes asymmetries within the body (especially in the lumbar and hip region), Rachel chooses to focus her work on pelvic floor health, stability and alignment; and thus has worked (and would like to continue to work) closely with hip replacement patients, people with lumbopelvic instability, expecting- and new-moms and anyone who is looking to improve their overall health and wellness.
Overall, her experience working abroad has given her a different perspective on our healthcare system and has also allowed her to deepen her interpersonal and intercultural awareness.
