Megan Willerth, PT
Megan completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. She then worked as a CSEP Certified Personal trainer, before returning to school to obtain her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University. Since graduating, Megan has completed continuing education courses including pain science as well as strength and conditioning in rehabilitation.
Megan has been a lifelong athlete, playing ringette, soccer and field hockey. Prior to working as a physiotherapist, Megan worked as a personal trainer and volunteered as a ringette coach for a wide variety of ages. She uses this background to optimize her patients’ ability to move and perform at their best, based on their unique goals. Megan believes that rehab is a collaborative process and strives to ensure that all her patients leave physiotherapy with more knowledge and confidence in their bodies. Megan is also passionate about continually learning more about how to help patients recover from injuries and how to prevent future pain and disability.
In her free time, you can find Megan playing ringette, downhill skiing, water skiing and wake surfing, hiking with her dog, or lifting weights. She also works part-time at the Royal Columbian Hospital in a variety of areas including orthopedic surgery, cardiac surgery, and stroke.
